Job summary

CTDI is seeking an RF Repair Technician for 2nd shift to install, maintain, and troubleshoot RF systems and equipment. You will conduct tests, diagnose issues, and verify proper operation of RF devices, while gathering data to support product development.

You will work with engineering teams to implement RF solutions, interpret schematics, and ensure quality standards. A 2-year electronics background and hands-on RF experience are preferred, with strong teamwork in a warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years RF experience required.
• Strong knowledge of RF tech, electronics, and troubleshooting.
• Skilled in soldering and de-soldering.
• Proficient with test equipment (multimeters, signal generators, spectrum analyzers).
• Knowledge of VSWR, ACLR, and feedback circuits.
• Data entry accuracy and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Test RF devices and diagnose issues; verify proper operation.
• Collect RF data with network analyzers for RRH product development.
• Troubleshoot down to component level.
• Use PIM devices to diagnose antenna prototypes.
• Collaborate with engineers to implement RF solutions.
• Draft and interpret schematics; maintain documentation.
• Train other technicians on repair techniques and procedures.
• Maintain clean, safe workspace and comply with safety rules.

RF Repair Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of RF systems and equipment.

2nd Shift: 2:30PM - 11:00 PM, Monday-Friday

Responsibilities

• Conduct tests, diagnose issues, execute repairs, and verify the proper functioning of RF devices.
• Gather RF data using network analyzers to support RRH product development through reports.
• Analyzes issues down to the component level.
• Operate PIM (Passive Intermodulation) test equipment for diagnosing and rectifying issues with antenna prototypes.
• Collaborating with engineering teams to design and implement RF solutions that meet customer requirements.
• Adept in both interpreting and drafting sophisticated schematics.
• Resolves intricate technical challenges through troubleshooting.
• Provides training and support to other Technicians regarding repair techniques and procedures.
• Comply with quality performance standards.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• Responsible for following warehouse safety regulations.
• All other duties assigned, based on the business the warehouse supports.

Required Skills and Experience

• 2+ years of RF experience.
• May be required to pass a Technical Aptitude Test.
• Strong knowledge of RF technology, electronics, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Skilled in soldering and de-soldering techniques.
• Thorough comprehension of various technology systems and applications, including in-depth knowledge of electronic circuit componentry and theory.
• Proficient in utilizing test equipment.
• Handling Hard Drive devices and keeping ESD policy standards.
• Proficiency in using multimeters, signal generators and spectrum analyzers.
• Knowledge of VSWR, ACLR, and feedback circuits.
• Proficiency in computer skills required for precise data entry of completed units.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Comfortable working autonomously and in a team environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
• Thoroughness and attention to detail in task completion.

Educational Requirements

• Minimum of a 2-year Electronics degree, equivalent Electronics certification, or equivalent work experience

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

• The ability to stand and walk for an extended period of time, if necessary
• The ability to bend, push, pull, twist, and reach in a continuous/repetitive capacity, if necessary
