Job summary

OhioGuidestone in Napoleon, OH is seeking a full-time 2nd shift Residential Specialist for our Napoleon, Men’s Residential Recovery location. The role provides structured residential programming to individuals overcoming addiction and supports safety and daily living within the unit.

You will maintain clinical records, educate clients and families, monitor symptoms, run group activities, supervise clients, and ensure HIPAA-compliant documentation while collaborating with the treatment team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Weekend availability required.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field a plus.
• CDCA certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete and current clinical records for all persons served.
• Provide education to persons served, families, and staff on substance use treatment, wellness, and health.
• Monitor mental illness or substance use symptoms and communicate changes to the treatment team.
• Facilitate group activities focused on mental health or substance use needs.
• Provide direct supervision of clients to ensure safety and basic needs are met.
• Assist clients with management of behaviors and positive behavioral interventions.
• Ensure safety of clients and unit by performing regular safety checks.
