Job summary

Brakebush Brothers Irving is seeking a Refrigeration Technician for the 2nd shift to support our Irving, TX facility. The role focuses on maintaining refrigeration systems, following safety and HACCP guidelines, and coordinating with the Utilities Supervisor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 months work-related experience.
• Pre-employment physical and drug test.
• Must pass pulmonary fitness test.
• Must complete power jack/forklift training course, Lock Out/Tag Out and Hazard Communication training courses.
• Stand and walk up to 8 hours per day.
• Must be able and available to work overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Must obey all safety, USDA, HACCP, and Company rules and regulations.
• Know shop mathematics, interpret drawings, and use tools required.
• Working knowledge of refrigeration.
• Mechanically inclined with ability to utilize hand tools and testing equipment.
• Observe and record temperatures and pressures as required.
• Observe air compressors and dryers.
• Maintain hot water system.
• Perform pipefitting and plumbing tasks up to 4" dia.
• Keep compressor rooms and related areas clean.
• Physical lifting of 50-70 lbs.
• Good written and oral communication.
• Work weekends and overtime as required.
• Communicate with management on concerns.
