Job summary

The Jel Sert Company, celebrating 100 years of quality and innovation, seeks a QC Specialist for 2nd shift. The role emphasizes finished goods audits, quality inspections, and data management to ensure food safety and compliance.

You will perform SQF-based inspections, investigate non-conformances, and coordinate with production for hold/release decisions, with overtime as needed and cross-training across QC functions.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years' quality control experience in the food/beverage industry.
• Internal auditing, CAPA investigations and training of personnel a plus.
• Must be able to complete a skills assessment test to assess basic skills needed in the position.
• PCQI certification or commensurate food safety & quality work history and experience required.

Responsibilities

• Data entry and management of information in company databases.
• Inspect equipment and manufacturing processes for GMP compliance.
• Inspect finished goods representing Medical Foods and other contract products.
• Identify non-conforming conditions and place products/materials on hold as needed.
• Communicate food safety and quality issues with production staff and supervisors.
