Job summary

Ipm Foods is seeking a Retort Operator - QC Tech for 2nd shift in Janesville, WI. The Quality Control Technician will conduct product testing on the production line and within the facility to ensure products meet quality, safety, and specification standards.

This role combines in-process line checks, equipment calibration, and facility-wide quality monitoring. Key duties include performing hourly X-ray and weight checks, data entry of run information, and preoperational testing of the first

Qualifications

• Experience in food manufacturing quality control or lab testing is preferred.
• Ability to follow written specifications, measurement procedures, and SOPs accurately.
• Strong attention to detail with emphasis on accurate data collection and documentation.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and record management.
• Ability to use testing equipment including scales, thermometers, X-ray machines, and conductivity meters.
• Knowledge of GMP and food safety requirements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain specification sheets and verify lot numbers, dates, batch codes and weights before the run.
• Set up printer, weight checker, and X-ray machine at start of production run.
• Perform X-ray and weight checks every hour during production.
• Enter production run information into the computer system accurately.
• Collect initial packages for preoperational testing.
