Job summary

BorgWarner Arden campus is seeking a hands-on Team Leader to organize and supervise the manufacturing area, driving safety, quality, and efficiency. You will coordinate setup, tooling, and line readiness while guiding a motivated team.

The role emphasizes leadership, effective communication, and adherence to standard work in a fast-paced environment. A high school diploma and manufacturing experience are required, with automotive leadership preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of high school or equivalent with leadership experience.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to motivate with fairness and respect.
• Timely and logical decision-making skills.
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment (3+ years).
• Leadership experience in automotive industry preferred (2+ years).
• Attendance on the job is essential.

Responsibilities

• Organize, develop, lead and supervise the manufacturing function to meet safety, quality, production, cost, inventory, delivery and people goals.
• Communicate and meet daily production schedules with the scheduling group.
• Perform set-ups and changeovers on machinery with team assistance.
• Conduct quality checks and testing of assembled components at end of line.
• Identify tooling, understand machinery and product for quality part manufacturing.
• Assign daily duties and ensure adherence to standard work and instructions.
• Input on staffing, overtime, shortages, tooling, quality and productivity as needed.
• Ensure timely and accurate production reporting and maintain standard work.
• Oversee training, apply 5S standards, and guide team in continuous improvement.
• Travel occasionally as required and support safety programs.
