Job summary

ProAmpac in Matthews, NC is seeking a Production Supervisor who will lead a manufacturing team, enforce safety rules, and drive quality, delivery, and cost objectives.

The role requires coaching, training, and using lean tools; strong communication and problem-solving; will oversee shift operations and labor scheduling.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree or 2+ years supervisory experience in manufacturing, and be able to work 2nd shift with 8- or 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years supervisory experience in manufacturing
• Strong initiative and motivation to achieve results
• Interpersonal skills and cross-functional teamwork
• Good problem-solving and communication
• Computer skills including MS Office; Kronos a plus
• Lean manufacturing tools knowledge
• Willing to rotate shifts and training others
• Experience with union environments

Responsibilities

• Lead a production team to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives
• Manage production processes and labor scheduling
• Coach, mentor, and develop associates
• Apply lean concepts to improve efficiency and reduce waste
• Coordinate with maintenance and technical support
• Ensure 5S housekeeping and safety compliance
• Conduct performance reviews for direct reports
• Recruitment and selection of staff
