Job summary

Mueller Water Products, Inc. in the Chattanooga area is seeking a Production Supervisor for the 2nd shift in our machine shop.

You will lead production teams, plan schedules, coordinate with Planning and Materials, and ensure safe, efficient operation of assembly equipment. The role emphasizes lean techniques (5S, standard work, value stream mapping) and performance management, with a focus on meeting safety, quality, and productivity goals.

Qualifications

• Three to five years' experience in a union manufacturing facility.
• Strong Microsoft Office and HRIS skills.
• Proven leadership and people-management abilities.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead the activities of production processes and personnel on various shifts.
• Direct production operations in accordance with priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
• Analyze production schedules to estimate work requirements and adjust to meet schedule targets.
• Assist Quality Assurance and Manufacturing Engineering to improve methods and equipment performance.
• Advise managers on production issues and propose changes in procedures and equipment use.
• Meet or exceed safety, efficiency, and productivity goals and drive continuous improvement.
