Job summary

Watteredge LLC in Avon Lake, OH is seeking an experienced 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to lead and support manufacturing operations. You will oversee employees, equipment, workflow, safety, quality, and daily production performance.

This hands-on leader will motivate the team, address delays, ensure quality, and coordinate with Quality, Engineering, Purchasing, Warehouse and other departments. The role features a Monday–Friday schedule (3:00 PM–11:30 PM) and a 10% shift differential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience.
• Supervisory or team-lead experience preferred.
• Strong leadership with emphasis on Safety, Quality, and Efficiency.
• Ability to motivate employees while maintaining accountability and performance expectations.
• Strong problem solving and decision making abilities.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily second-shift production activities, including employees, equipment, workflow, and processes.
• Lead, motivate, coach, and support production employees to achieve daily goals.
• Ensure production requirements are completed efficiently while maintaining high quality standards.
• Monitor workloads, priorities, staffing, and production schedules.
• Hold employees accountable for performance, attendance, safety, quality, and company expectations.
• Enforce company policies and procedures fairly and consistently.
• Promote and enforce workplace health and safety requirements.
• Review employee performance and provide regular, meaningful feedback.
• Identify training needs and encourage cross-training and employee development.
• Review work orders for accuracy and verify materials and resources are available before production begins.
• Monitor production progress and proactively address delays, equipment issues, quality concerns, and other obstacles.
• Communicate production issues and develop appropriate recovery plans.
• Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, Purchasing, Warehouse, and other departments to meet production demands.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities related to safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity.
• Ensure required production reports and documentation are completed accurately and on time.
• Assist with troubleshooting production and operational issues as needed.
• Maintain a safe, organized, productive, and team-oriented work environment.
