Job summary

Kito-Crosby is seeking a Production Supervisor for 2nd shift (12:00 PM – 10:00 PM) to lead a 20–30+ member team in machining, forging, welding, finishing, and assembly. You will ensure safety, quality, and on-time shipments while coordinating with QA, Engineering, and Maintenance; overtime and weekend rotation may be required.

This role requires strong leadership, ERP experience (SAP/AS400), and proficiency with Microsoft Office; high school diploma and 5+ years of manufacturing supervision

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience.
• Previous supervisory or team lead experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to work 2nd shift, generally from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
• Must be willing to work overtime as needed, occasionally past 10:00 PM.
• Weekend rotation could be up to 50% of the time.
• ERP experience (SAP, AS400) preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams).
• Strong communication, follow-up, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Work under the direction of the Value Stream Manager or Manufacturing Manager.
• Ensure team members work safely and use proper PPE.
• Conduct monthly work center inspections and support safety investigations.
• Supervise team members in machining, forging, welding, finishing, and/or assembly operations.
• Manage production quality, quantity, cost, schedules, and material usage to meet goals.
• Organize and assign work based on available skills and tooling.
• Troubleshoot production and workflow issues to reduce downtime.
• Coordinate maintenance needs with the Maintenance department.
• Provide daily direction and training to team members.
• Monitor setup and assembly processes.
• Coordinate with QA to ensure finished goods meet standards.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Scheduling, Purchasing on workflow and improvements.
• Expedite hot orders and reallocate resources to meet deadlines.
