Job summary

NSP in Owasso, OK is seeking a hands-on Fully Cooked Production Supervisor to oversee daily production operations in our meat processing facility. This role supervises production employees, ensures schedules are met, maintains product quality, and enforces safety and USDA regulations.

The 2nd shift runs 3:30 pm to 3:00 am with weekends as needed. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience plus 5 years supervisory experience in meat processing is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• 5 years' supervisory experience in meat processing/manufacturing food production or a similar industry.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production activities, assign employee duties, and ensure production schedules are met.
• Plan staffing requirements and ensure timely production startup and completion of scheduled orders.
• Adjust production schedules to meet customer demands and maintain inventory rotation.
• Enforce plant safety standards, USDA regulations, and company policies and procedures.
• Train, coach, and develop production employees, operators, and team leads.
• Ensure accurate and timely employee timekeeping and production documentation.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Logistics to resolve production issues and maintain efficient operations.
• Coordinate and track equipment repairs, maintenance requests, and work orders.
• Identify opportunities to improve production methods, equipment performance, employee productivity, and product quality.
• Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
