Job description

Our 2nd shift Production Supervisoris instrumental in working towards our purpose every day!!



The Production Supervisor is responsible for all supervisory phases of production in the assigned area/s. This includes allocation of resources, coaching, developing, and continuous improvement. The Production Supervisor drives efforts to continuously improve performance and deliver high quality manufactured products in a safe, timely and efficient manner, and is responsible for key metrics to include; Safety, Quality, Plan Attainment, Productivity, and Respect.



2nd shift hours: 2 pm - 10 pm Monday - Friday, some Saturdays will be required


Team size : 30 associates

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:


* Manages the daily activities on the manufacturing floor. Direct and coordinate resources and associates to ensure that key metrics are achieved.
* Ensures positive associate relations while continually developing ideal behaviors in team members to embody TIDI Products Core Values & Guiding Principles.
* Perform quarterly associate performance reviews and annual merit reviews.
* Enhance standardization, safety, accuracy, and efficiency of processes through regular reviews of work instructions and procedures.
* Drives continuous improvement in safety, quality, productivity, and cost through the use of manufacturing techniques like Lean and 5-S.
* Safely achieves planned production output consistently and performs incident investigations when necessary.
* Responsible for interviewing for those open positions within assigned area/s.
* Responsible for staffing in assigned area/s. This includes working cross-functionally with other departments to ensure resources are in place to meet customer demand.
* Assures that all personnel are trained in accordance with policies.
* Communicates information to associates in all departments on all shifts so production continues to flow smoothly and efficiently.
* Administrative duties including: weekly time card & PTO review/approval in HRIS system, daily production reporting.
* Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:


* Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience and responsibilities
* Preferred but not required - Bachelor's degree in a related field; Engineering, Safety, Operations Management
* Working knowledge of safety practices.
* Working knowledge of Lean methodologies.
* Working knowledge of problem-solving techniques.
* Prior management and/or supervision experience desired.


* Knowledge of manufacturing methods and techniques (Lean, 5-S and Supply Chain Mgt) and proven success in implementation
* Demonstrated Leadership ability and a solid understand of Supervision (coaching, developing/training, conflict resolution, employee relations)
* Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing to peers, managers and subordinates
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects
* Ability to adapt to a dynamic and changing environment
* Ability to analyze problems and recommend solutions
* Ability to work within and use a Lean Management System to drive growth oriented changes.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
* Helpful characteristics: ability to listen & learn, navigate and make decisions, and build teams; ability to lead with humility; ability to communicate effectively, using multiple methods.
