Job summary

Vermont Cider Company is seeking a 2nd-shift packaging operator to join our growing beverage manufacturing team in Vermont. Enjoy a consistent 4-day workweek (Mon–Thu, 4:00 PM–2:30 AM), with competitive hourly pay and a $2 shift differential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Manufacturing, packaging, machine operation, or production experience preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills preferred.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor packaging and production equipment.
• Perform quality checks on products, labels, packaging, fill levels, and pallet patterns.
• Support line changeovers, startups, material staging, and line readiness activities.
• Complete production, quality, and traceability documentation accurately.
• Troubleshoot and report equipment, quality, and production issues; maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Warehouse teams to meet production requirements.

Schedule: 2nd Shift | Monday–Thursday | 4:00 PM–2:30 AM

Pay: $19.00–$24.00 per hour plus a $2 per hour shift differential

What You Will Do

Support high-speed beverage packaging operations across bottle, can, keg, and variety pack lines while helping ensure safety, quality, food safety, and production goals are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor packaging and production equipment
• Perform quality checks on products, labels, packaging, fill levels, and pallet patterns
• Support line changeovers, startups, material staging, and line readiness activities
• Complete production, quality, and traceability documentation accurately
• Troubleshoot and report equipment, quality, and production issuesMaintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
• Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Warehouse teams to meet production requirements

Requirements

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to bend, reach, twist, push, pull, and lift throughout the shift
• Ability to work around moving machinery, conveyors, forklifts, and production traffic
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and noise levels
• Ability to wear required PPE and follow safety requirements
