Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a Production Operator for the 2nd shift (2:00 PM – 10:00 PM) at our Walker, MI plant. You will load component parts into automated assembly lines using PLEX, document production, and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 6 months manufacturing experience preferred, ability to stand 8–10 hours, read and understand English, and the ability to lift up to 30 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Must be able to stand for 8-10 hours daily.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.
• Basic computer skills for data entry.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Load component parts into automated assembly using PLEX.
• Record production and pack per instruction.
• Label parts and document issues with parts or machinery.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Escalate quality or machine issues to Team Leaders.
• Support internal audits and look for improvements.
