Job summary

MONROE TRUCK EQUIPMENT, an Aebi Schmidt brand, is seeking a Production Manager in Joliet, IL to oversee shop operations including Truck Equipment installation, Paint, Quality Control and Pick Up & Delivery under the Plant Manager.

You will allocate resources, assign and train staff, set work procedures, issue instructions, and ensure safety and continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 3–4 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in vehicle or other industrial equipment assembly.
• 5+ years' experience leading people.
• Working knowledge of Excel, ERP Systems, Word, Outlook, Teams.
• Experience with defined problem-solving methodologies i.e. 3L – 5 Why.
• Ability to work with teams to establish standard work procedures.

Responsibilities

• Allocates resources, provides feedback, and ensures organized production.
• Assign tasks, assist, and train other personnel to support future growth.
• Determine work procedures, prepares work schedules and expedites workflow.
• Issues written and oral instructions.
• Assign duties and examine work for exactness, neatness and conformance to policies and procedures.
• Troubleshoot issues that arise on the shop floor and confer with supervisors, leads, and production personnel to resolve problems, keeping projects moving for the best outcome.
• Demonstrates leadership behaviors that support our Company Values.
• Advocate plant and employee safety, ensuring all employees are utilizing safety procedures.
• Create a continuous improvement environment.
