Job summary

ADM Forsyth, MO is seeking a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to lead daily operations across tableting, coating, encapsulation, and sanitation. You will mentor frontline operators, manage shifts, and ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while coordinating with supervisors and managers.

The role requires strong communication, troubleshooting, and organizational skills with a background in manufacturing leadership and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or a high school diploma/GED with 4+ years of relevant work experience
• High School Diploma/GED required
• 3+ years of experience in a lead/supervisor role in continuous manufacturing operations
• Must have a valid Driver’s License
• Demonstrated communication, organizational, trouble-shooting, and record keeping skills

Responsibilities

• Provide managerial, technical, and training leadership across assigned manufacturing units.
• Prioritize, schedule, and allocate shift resources to meet daily production requirements and service expectations.
• Maintain working knowledge of all production processes, equipment, and systems
• Provide daily follow up on production orders scheduled for shipment.
• Monitor machine down time and production rates to maintain quality and quantity.
• Ensure all operations follow safety, quality, and regulatory standards (FDA, Kosher, GMP, HACCP).
• Promote safety, sanitation, and workplace organization daily.
• Investigate quality, yield, and operational deviations; identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Communicate concerns to stakeholders; provide a safe working environment.
• Monitor cleanliness and mechanical condition of all production equipment.
• Review paperwork on completed formulas for accuracy.
• Recruit, train, and develop operators; ensure training and certifications.
• Manage employee relations, payroll accuracy, and transactions for direct reports.
• Enforce SOPs and company policies; address noncompliance.
• Maintain daily accountability of all department members.
• Direct work, conduct appraisals, reward/discipline.
• Oversee training and cross-training program.
• Support productivity and inventory improvement initiatives.
• Foster accountability and continuous improvement culture.
• Assist in development of methods for monitoring product quality.
