Job summary

Serta Simmons Bedding (SSB) is seeking a Production Supervisor B for the 2nd shift in Hazleton, PA. This role oversees and facilitates production operations, coordinates schedules, coaches staff, and ensures GMP/SQDC compliance while optimizing material flow to meet targets.

Ideal candidates hold an associate degree or higher, have MRP/ERP experience, and are skilled in Lean methods, Microsoft Office, and problem solving.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in applicable field or equivalent experience; Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
• Experience using MRP/ERP.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
• Experience in Lean manufacturing principles, tools, and applications.
• Applicable knowledge of performance management methods.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and develop talent.
• Demonstrated ability to employ process problem solving tools to determine root cause and implement countermeasures.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage conflict.
• Demonstrated ability to execute against production playbooks.
• Effective oral and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and facilitates production operations for assigned area.
• Reviews production schedules and estimates associate hours to complete a job.
• Holds daily cell meetings and sets daily expectations.
• Ensure GMP and SQDC compliance and optimize material flow.
• Support improvement to GMP guidelines and standard work.
• Monitor KPIs like quality, safety, and scrap to meet production goals.
• Develops associates and supports leadership succession planning.
• Acts as link between associates and management during changes.
