Job summary

Resource Label Group is seeking a Production Supervisor for our 2nd Shift in Des Plaines, IL. This role leads the 2nd shift operations teams, driving a proactive safety culture and engaging employees while overseeing the Pamco Label facility’s overall operations.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of supervisory experience, with exposure to Mark Andy or Flexo Presses, and strong Lean Six Sigma knowledge.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of related supervisory experience.
• Five years of Mark Andy or Flexo Press experience is required.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to lead teams and manage CI projects.

Responsibilities

• Inspects plates, web and other materials to verify conformance to specifications and color match to job specs.
• Checks production schedule and ensures plates, inks and materials are available ahead of an order.
• Directs setup and adjustments of presses with high attention to detail.
• Maintains equipment and performs minor repairs as needed.
• Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements.
• Enforces safety regulations and company policies with workers.
• Interprets specifications and orders, assigns duties, and adjusts procedures to meet schedules.
• Suggests improvements to production methods, equipment performance and quality.
• Implements Lean Manufacturing procedures and participates in Lean committees.
• Identifies changes to increase efficiency, reduce setup time, downtime and scrap.
• Analyzes and resolves work problems and provides training.
