Job summary

Resource Label Group is seeking a Production Manager to lead the Wood Dale, IL plant and direct overall production operations. This role will shape safety culture, improve efficiency, and drive proactive engagement across the Deco Label facility.

The ideal candidate will have Lean Six Sigma experience, a minimum of six years leading a production team, and a strong background in continuous improvement and cost control.

Qualifications

• Six (6) related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence; speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts; apply concepts of algebra and geometry.

Responsibilities

• Confers with management to establish production and quality standards, develop budgets and cost controls, and obtain data on products ordered.
• Plans and directs production activities and establishes production priorities.
• Coordinates production with procurement, maintenance and quality control to optimize resources.
• Reviews reports to determine causes of nonconformity with specifications and problems.
• Develops and implements operating methods to eliminate problems and improve quality.
• Revises production schedules due to equipment failure or problems.
• Consults with engineering to modify machines for improved production and quality.
