Job summary

Luxfer Gas Cylinders seeks a Production Lead in Riverside, CA to direct and train hourly workers, ensure safe production of high-pressure cylinders, and drive lean manufacturing practices. You will oversee operators and inspectors, enforce 5S and safety standards, and monitor efficiency daily.

The role requires five years of related experience, strong print-reading skills, and the ability to manage multiple objectives in a high-volume setting. Overtime is common.

Qualifications

• Five years related experience or training in manufacturing.
• Familiarity with 5S, lean manufacturing, and safety procedures.
• Ability to read prints and perform inspection methods.

Responsibilities

• Direct and motivate hourly employees; review processes and productivity daily.
• Maintain safe environment via 5S and safety procedures; collaborate with safety committee.
• Oversee machine operators and inspectors throughout production.
• Supervise training to ensure proper operations, safety and quality.
• Monitor and maintain 95% efficiency standards for operators and inspectors.
• Improve machine efficiencies through collaboration with other departments.
