Job summary

Sonoco is hiring a Production Associate in Jefferson, TX for the Wood Reels division. The role reports to the shift supervisor and requires working 3pm–11pm (second shift).

Expect to help on the packing line, identify defects, and keep a clean, safe work area while maintaining high quality standards. We value hands-on, detail-oriented individuals with strong teamwork skills and a readiness to learn multiple lines.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Read and understand manufacturing instructions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with other departments and teams.
• Troubleshoot problems and situations on the line.
• Make incremental process adjustments and monitor quality.
• Learn to set up new jobs and train on other lines and departments.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Perform duties as designated by supervisor/manager.
• Support Sonoco’s quality and safety policies.
• Assist other departments as needed.
