Job summary

Xylem is seeking a Hiring Process Operator for its South Windsor, CT facility to perform a range of manufacturing tasks on the 2nd shift. The role involves lifting up to 50 pounds, operating forklifts, and adhering to safety and quality standards.

The position runs 2nd shift from 1:00pm to 9:30pm with a 10% shift differential. Pay ranges from $20–$25 per hour, plus a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of manufacturing experience expected.
• Completion of site-specific safety training required.
• Effective communication with team members.
• Ability to follow and read instructions.
• Basic math skills required.
• Experience in manufacturing or plant operations preferred.
• Forklift driving skills required.
• Computer proficiency expected.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety procedures and quality guidelines.
• Monitor equipment to ensure optimal function.
• Read and follow required processes accurately.
• Support divisional results and overall performance.
• Address internal and external customer needs and expectations.
• Operate area-specific equipment including CARBON: bag products, sampling, and pH calibration; and REGEN: sort bottles, forklift operations, and loading/unloading trucks.
