Job summary

Interstate-Packagin in White Bluff, TN, is seeking a Printing Press Operator Trainee to support the wide web department. The role requires mechanical aptitude to set up and maintain designated machines and to follow safety and quality procedures.

You will read job jackets, assist in ink pulling, clean the press, and help prepare the next job while keeping accuracy in measurements and color matching. This is a hands-on trainee role with attention to GMPs and quality.

Qualifications

• Quality consciousness and attention to detail are essential.
• Color vision required to distinguish shades and color designations.
• Able to lift 50–75 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math.
• Must follow safety procedures and PPE protocols.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret job jackets/orders and set up the press.
• Maintain cleanliness of press area and perform end-of-shift cleanup.
• Assist in setup for next job, including pulling ink and cleaning.
• Record information electronically as required by accounting.
• Communicate issues to supervisor and follow chain of command.
• Follow GMP and safety policies and procedures.
