Job summary

The N2 Company in Irving, TX is seeking a 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician to keep our printing press, sheeting, and binding equipment running safely and efficiently. This full-time, on-site role reports to the Print Operations team and offers a salary of $64,000–$67,000 with opportunities for growth.

You will troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues, perform preventive maintenance, and coach operators on proper operation.

Qualifications

• 1-3+ years repairing or maintaining heavy machinery or printing equipment.
• Able to read basic electrical and mechanical diagrams and manuals.
• Enjoy coaching operators and working with equipment teams.
• Good computer skills; comfortable with maintenance and diagnostic software.
• Clear communication of issues and repair updates with leads and management.
• Available for 2nd shift: Mon-Thu 3:00 PM–1:30 AM; some overtime for major repairs.
• Background check, motor vehicle, and drug screenings.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues on presses, sheeting lines, and binding equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
• Assist operators with troubleshooting and proper machine operation.
• Handle setups: blade changes, roller adjustments, glue pot maintenance.
• Prepare components during changeovers or repairs to keep production moving.
• Manage spare parts and maintenance supplies for timely repairs.
• Use diagnostic tools (HP HoloLens XR, others) to identify issues and coordinate support.
• Maintain safeguards and visual guides for safe operation.
• Collaborate with vendors and facility teams to resolve issues.
