Job summary

Perlick Corporation in Milwaukee, WI is seeking an experienced press brake operator for 2nd shift (3:15pm - 11:45pm) with a $1.00 shift differential. The role involves setting up, adjusting and operating press brakes to form and bend various gauge materials, reading blueprints, and ensuring dimensional accuracy from drawings and templates.

Qualified candidates have vocational or high school education, basic math skills, and knowledge of press brake equipment.

Qualifications

Requires knowledge of basic mechanical principles and metal fabrication methods.
Ability to read blueprints and follow specifications.
Basic math skills as taught in vocational/high school programs.
Entry-level blueprint reading via Welders Blueprint reading class or equivalent.
6 months minimum experience with machine operation and basic press brake setups.

Responsibilities

Set up, adjust and operate press brakes to form and bend various gauge materials.
Position, align and secure forming dies, adjust ram stroke and set gauges.
Determine sequence of bends for multi-pass operations.
Improvise setups for single/compound shapes with care to avoid surface defects.
Work from drawings and templates, ensuring dimensional accuracy.
Use measuring tools to check work and ensure quality.
Perform with minimal supervision and comply with quality checks.
Adhere to process and final inspection requirements.
