Job summary

QPS Employment Group in New Berlin, WI is seeking a skilled Brake Press Operator to join our manufacturing team on 2nd shift. You will set up and operate brake press equipment to bend, form, and fabricate metal components per customer specs and drawings.

The ideal candidate has brake press experience, strong blueprint-reading skills, and a commitment to quality. This is an associate-to-hire role on 2nd shift, with hours 3:15pm-1:15am, and a pay rate of $23-$25 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience operating brake presses and reading blueprints.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, work orders and production schedules.
• Familiarity with calipers, tape measures and precision tools.
• Commitment to producing high-quality parts and maintaining safety.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and/or manual brake press machines.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production schedules.
• Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers and other tools.
• Select tooling and adjust machines as needed to meet specs.
• Maintain clean work area and follow safety procedures.
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to meet deadlines.
