Job summary

Vantedge Medical is seeking a Visual Inspector to join our Durham/Wallingford, CT team. This role operates on the 2nd shift, onsite, and is a full-time permanent position. You will safely run machining equipment, perform inspections, document hours, and uphold 6S standards to ensure quality and traceability.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred manufacturing experience. Basic math, reading instructions, and clear communication are essential for daily tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, Technical School Diploma, or GED preferred.
• Manufacturing experience preferred, though not required.
• Ability to read & comprehend simple instructions (MOI’s, Work Instructions, Quality Bulletins).
• Ability to effectively communicate in one-on-one and small group situations.

Responsibilities

• Operate machining equipment such as air presses, milling and drilling machines, pad printers, laser welders and cutters per MOI/Work Instructions.
• Perform prepacking, gauging and visual inspections per MOI/Work Instructions; verify gauges are correct and calibrated.
• Ensure product ID and traceability by accurately filling out required paperwork.
• Enter labor hours in MES; monitor time and attendance weekly.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment following 6S standards.
• Follow all H&M procedures and policies; use PPE per JHAs.
