Job summary

Vantedge Medical is hiring a Machine Operator for the 1st shift in our Durham/Wallingford, CT operations. You will safely and efficiently operate assembly, CNC and finishing machinery, following MOIs and Work Instructions.

The role emphasizes quality, traceability and adherence to safety standards, with overtime and Saturday work as needed. Prior manufacturing exposure is preferred, and a High School Diploma or GED is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, Technical School Diploma, or GED preferred; manufacturing experience welcome.
• Ability to read MOIs, Work Instructions, Quality Bulletins and other documents.
• Basic math skills required.
• Able to communicate effectively in one-on-one and small groups.
• Willingness to work overtime and Saturdays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate various machining equipment such as air presses, milling and drilling machines, pad printers, laser welders and cutters per MOI’s/Work Instructions.
• Perform prepacking, gauging and visual inspections per MOI’s/ Work Instructions; verify gauges are correct and calibrated prior to starting every operation.
• Ensure product ID and traceability is maintained by accurately filling out required paperwork (Followers, Inspection Ticket, etc.).
• Accurately enter labor hours in MES; monitor personal time and attendance weekly.
• Maintain an organized, clean and safe work environment by following 6S standards.
• Properly follow all H&M procedures and policies.
• Use correct PPE per JHAs and Job Description; when safety shoes are required, they must be rated F2412 and F2413.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement activities, including the Idea System.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
