Viking Drill & Tool, Inc. is hiring a Machine Set-Up Technician for the 2nd shift (2:00pm–10:30pm). You will set up and operate grinding machines used to manufacture twist drill bits, ensuring products meet exact specifications.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Ability to read safety rules and procedures.
Strong communication and math skills.
Experience with basic maintenance and machine setup.
Attention to detail and problem-solving.
Willingness to work 40 hours weekly.

Responsibilities

Read blueprints and job cards for dimensions, tolerances, and production requirements.
Set up grinding machines, tooling, and components.
Adjust machine controls for speed, feed rate, and wheel angles.
Inspect finished parts for quality and accuracy.
Troubleshoot equipment to keep production running smoothly.
Perform routine machine maintenance.
Complete required production and inventory documentation.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Support continuous improvement initiatives.
Assist with machine operations as needed.
