Job summary

Viking Drill & Tool, INC. is hiring a Machine Operator for 2nd shift (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM). You will operate grinding machinery, load/unload parts, monitor quality, and perform minor adjustments to keep production on track.

The role requires initiative and attention to detail in a team-driven environment, with opportunities commensurate with an employee-owned company culture and growth potential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and understand safety rules, procedures and work instructions.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work full-time and meet attendance expectations.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve stock and materials according to production schedules.
• Load and unload drills and parts from machines.
• Make minor machine adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Inspect parts and verify specifications using job cards.
• Use measuring tools such as micrometers, rulers, and scopes.
• Communicate machine status and quality concerns with Setups and Leads.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
