Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a Precision Electromechanical Assembler 2 (2nd Shift). You will perform wiring and component installation, hand soldering, disassembling, modifying, reworking or reassembling units using hand and pneumatic tools, and work from detailed diagrams.

The role requires 2 years of related experience, fine-detailed soldering under a microscope, and the ability to obtain J-STD-001 certification; shift is 3:30 PM–1 AM.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and 2 years related education or experience.
• Experience doing fine-detailed soldering with a microscope.
• Must possess basic, verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to achieve J-STD-001 certification.
• Ability to work 2nd shift 3:30PM–1AM.

Responsibilities

• Perform wiring and component installation and hand soldering, disassembling, modifying, reworking or reassembling units using various hand and pneumatic tools.
• May perform mechanical assembly, cable assembly, component forming and mounting, high reliability assembly.
• Work with chemicals and solvents for extended periods as required.
• Complete part marking and simple continuity checks on work in process and completed units.
• Follow verbal or written instructions with detailed methods and assembly diagrams.
