Job summary

The role requires 2+ years of mechanical experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to follow disassembly/assembly guidelines with basic precision-measuring tool knowledge. On-site work with heavy equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years mechanical experience in heavy equipment, automotive or similar.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Ability to follow written disassembly and assembly guidelines.
• Basic understanding of precision measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct all activities with safety as a priority.
• Observe and be knowledgeable of all safety regulations and procedures.
• Check tolerances, dimensions, and specification by using precision instruments.
• Determines components specifications by measuring tolerances against drawings and docs.
• Inspect torn-down components to identify defects and flaws.
• Complete inspection forms and document work with photos and notes.
• Establish clearances, torque values, lengths by calculations.
• Move components using overhead cranes, jib hoists, or forklifts.
• Clean parts by chemical or mechanical methods to remove debris.
• Assemble components with drills, presses, torque wrenches, etc.
• Reference component information and use of computer to review processes and order parts.
• Perform other duties as assigned
