Job summary

H-E Parts International Mining Solutions Usa Inc in Billings, Montana is seeking a shop technician to support teardown, cleaning, and inspection of heavy components, ensuring safety and quality.

You will operate cranes and forklifts, assist with parts preparation for transport, and maintain shop cleanliness while learning new equipment and processes. This full-time role requires a high school diploma or GED and some mechanical experience; lifting up to 50 pounds is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year mechanical work experience or equivalent education.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb.
• Prior experience with heavy equipment repair and basic precision measuring tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safety – conduct all activities in a safe manner, utilizing PPE and adhering to company policy.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Maintain a good attendance record and professional conduct.
• Work as a team to assist with or teardown large and small components and assemblies.
• Clean and prep parts for inspection.
• Move components by operating overhead cranes, jib hoists and pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.
• Prepare and secure parts for transportation throughout the shop area.
• Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping in the work areas and shop.
• Learn operation of part and pressure washers.
• Demonstrate an aptitude to learn and grow within the department and shop.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
