Job summary

Kraft Heinz Company in Winchester, VA is seeking a Pouch Room Operator for the 2nd shift. You will safely operate pouch forming and packaging equipment, perform quality audits on pouches, and document production metrics.

The role requires physical stamina (up to 65 lbs), strong teamwork, and the ability to follow strict GMP and safety guidelines in a non-temperature-controlled manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate and monitor pouch forming equipment.
• Able to lift up to 65 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Strong communication skills and tablet/computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Start up, operate, and shut down pouch equipment including forming, cooling, sealing, and coding.
• Change packaging rolls as needed.
• Monitor uptime and troubleshoot equipment to prevent jams.
• Assist with diagnosing mechanical issues and notify technicians.
• Supervise pouch quality checks and record visual quality points.
• Check seal alignment and document results.
• Ensure adequate foil stock and conduct audits.
• Record material losses, downtime, and production totals; palletize finished boxes.
• Maintain clean and orderly work area per SOPs.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Complete required DMS forms (CIL, CLM, 5S, Defect handling, shift hand-offs, Oscar boards).
• Maintain tour-ready status of the work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including QRMP adherence.
