Job summary

3M is seeking a Plumber Pipefitter for the 2nd shift in Minnesota. You will troubleshoot, repair and install piping systems, using welding and joining techniques, and operate shop tools.

Responsibilities include following safety policies, completing paperwork, and ensuring code compliance. Requirements include Minnesota journeyman licenses, a valid driver's license, and a strong mechanical background.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Possess a State of Minnesota Journeyman Plumber license and/or State of Minnesota Journeyman Pipefitter license.
• Possess a current and valid Driver’s License.
• Knowledge of state and local codes governing piping systems.
• State of Minnesota Backflow Prevention Tester certification.
• City of St. Paul Plumbing Certificate of Competency.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment malfunctions and makes repairs or adjustments.
• Determines and uses proper metal joining techniques (arc, acetylene welding, brazing, soldering).
• Sets up and operates shop equipment and hand tools.
• Completes required shop paperwork and reporting.
• Adheres to safe work methods in hazardous environments.
