Job summary

Polar Semiconductor, LLC in Bloomington, MN is seeking a skilled Plumber to support the reliability and performance of our manufacturing facilities. This on-site, full-time role focuses on installing, maintaining, and repairing critical plumbing systems that support uninterrupted factory operations.

The ideal candidate has at least four years of plumbing experience, strong knowledge of codes, and hands-on piping installation and troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Minimum four years' experience as a plumber.
• Proficient in installation of plumbing fixtures, equipment, and piping types.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing codes and industry best practices.
• Hands-on experience with piping installation, maintenance, component replacement, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic technical calculations.
• Ability to read P&ID diagrams.
• Knowledge of hazardous waste management and respiratory protection requirements.
• Ability to climb ladders, lift up to 60 lbs., and work at heights up to 20 feet.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair facility plumbing systems including fixtures, water, and waste lines, and utilities for manufacturing equipment.
• Respond to maintenance and repair requests to ensure uninterrupted operation of plumbing systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair installed equipment using manuals, technical expertise, and collaboration with other technicians.
• Support Equipment Engineers by contributing to specifications for plumbing system installation and maintenance.
• Develop material take-offs and place, track, and manage orders for piping projects.
• Support initiatives related to quality, safety, environmental management, CQI, 5S, yield improvement, and cost containment.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support facility operations.
