Job summary

Teknor Apex Fountain Inn, SC is seeking a Unit Operator for the 2nd shift (2:40pm - 11:00pm) in our plastics production team. The role involves operating melt mixing processes, weighing raw materials, and ensuring safety and efficiency on the line.

Typical duties include following production schedules, coordinating with crew leads, and maintaining documentation. Overtime and weekend coverage may be required as customer demands dictate.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents and solve problems.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and interpret measurements.
• Regular and predictable attendance in a continuous production environment.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds multiple times per shift.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment needed for melt mixing safely and efficiently.
• Follow processing instructions to produce pellets per schedule.
• Communicate issues with crew lead and supervisor.
• Provide break relief and cover other lines as needed.
• Maintain clean and orderly workspace.
• Demonstrate teamwork and willingness to work overtime.
