Job summary

Teknor Apex Fountain Inn, SC is seeking a Unit Operator for the 2nd shift (2:40pm - 11:00pm) in plastics manufacturing. The role involves dry blending, weighing raw materials, and packaging finished PVC pellets.

You will operate equipment safely, follow production instructions, and collaborate with crew leads to meet schedules. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 lbs, operate a forklift, and work in a warm environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents; use common sense to solve problems.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
• Regular and predictable attendance in a continuous production environment.
• Lift up to 50 pounds multiple times per shift; work in warm/hot environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate melt mixing equipment and ensure safe, proper operation.
• Follow processing instructions to produce pellets per schedule.
• Maintain communication with crew lead and supervisor about issues.
• Provide break relief and be flexible to cover other lines as needed.
• Keep workspace tidy and adhere to safety rules.
