Job summary

Pretium Packaging, L.L.C. in Greensboro, NC is hiring a Machine Operator for 2nd shift 3:50pm - 12:00am. You will set up, operate, and maintain plastic molding equipment to ensure products meet quality standards and safety requirements.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, 1–2 years in plastics or packaging, basic computer skills, and the ability to read technical drawings. ERP MaintainX experience is a plus; strong communication, teamwork and a sense of urgency are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred (technical training plus).
• 1-2 years of related experience
• Experience in plastics or packaging industry a plus
• Working knowledge of computer operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate plastic molding machines according to established procedures.
• Monitor machine performance during operation and adjust as needed to ensure optimal efficiency.
• Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Identify and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
• Check and maintain defined levels of all raw materials used in production on assigned machinery. Keep all assigned machines and areas neat and clean of debris.
• Evaluate and discuss the operation of assigned machinery with the Machine Operator from the previous shift. Will operate and adjust production line equipment, in accordance with established production standards as well as report any problems.
• Maintain appropriate levels of raw materials and notify supervision when replenishment is needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Complete required documentation accurately and timely.
• Perform other duties as assigned. Evaluate and discuss the operation of assigned machinery with the Machine Operator from the previous shift. Will operate and adjust production line equipment, in accordance with established production standards as well as perform preventative maintenance and report any problems.
