Job summary

CHEP Kilgore, TX is seeking a hands-on Plant Operations Supervisor for 2nd shift to lead production teams, improve safety practices, and optimize costs and yields. You will oversee shift supervisors, coordinate maintenance, and drive continuous improvement across operations to meet customer expectations and plant profitability.

The role emphasizes lean practices, cross-functional collaboration, and adherence to CHEP procedures while supporting a strong safety culture and effective employee

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in operations, supply chain, or equivalent required or preferred.
• Lean & Six Sigma certification desirable.
• Experience managing safety performance and programs is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the work of all production employees and oversee production and shipping schedules based on raw and finished goods availability.
• Provide hands-on leadership by mentoring and coaching employees and addressing employee relations issues.
• Drive safety improvements (Zero Harm) and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Manage shift maintenance activities and coordinate with maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Lead cost and yield performance initiatives in partnership with Plant Manager and overall P&L.
