Job summary

Talent Wave Associates seeks a Plant Manager to lead the injection molding department on the second shift, driving performance and continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will coordinate facilities, equipment, and personnel, mentor teams in lean practices including 5S and Kaizen, and collaborate on budget, quality planning, and new program launches while ensuring safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or twelve years of related work experience as a substitute.
• Ten years of technical experience in injection molding.
• Three to five years of supervisory experience.
• Exceptional organizational, communication, and people skills.
• Knowledge of the Toyota Production System.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate utilization of injection molding facilities, equipment, machines, materials and personnel to meet performance objectives.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts within the CI philosophy.
• Train staff in TS-16949 requirements and ensure compliance with procedures.
• Assist in budget development and ensure expenditures follow procedures.
• Support advanced quality planning for new program development and participate in launch teams.
• Participate in strategic planning for capital equipment needs and develop bid packages for competitive quoting.
• Provide data for quoting new business or engineering changes.
• Direct employees to input data for reliable reports and materials management.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards and apply 5S principles.
• Organize and lead Kaizen activities monthly to increase efficiency and involvement.
• Research new technologies for cost-competitive applications and communicate ideas to senior management.
• Ensure reporting and investigation of all accidents within 24 hours.
