Job summary

SpecialtyRx is seeking a Junior Automation Specialist – 2nd Shift to support and maintain pharmacy automation systems, including Omnicell, DOSIS, and TSort. This hands-on role works with a cross-functional team to keep equipment operational and compliant with maintenance schedules.

The position emphasizes troubleshooting, cassette management, and onboarding of new technicians while ensuring safe and efficient medication fulfillment in a fast-paced long-term care environment.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician registration/licensure as required by the applicable state.
• Experience with pharmacy automation equipment preferred.
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude; able to troubleshoot complex equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support for Omnicell, DOSIS, TSort, packaging systems, and other automation equipment.
• Monitor equipment for errors, jams, and downtime; respond promptly to interruptions.
• Troubleshoot issues and escalate as needed to internal teams or vendors.
• Follow escalation procedures to minimize downtime and production disruption.
• Assist with setup, testing, installation, and implementation of new automation equipment.
• Train newly hired technicians on automation equipment and procedures.
