Responsibilities:
- Supervision and Team Management: Lead efficient manufacturing practices and be accountable for Safety, Quality, Delivery & Cost throughout the department.
- Maintain a positive outlook on production goals and ensure good attendance.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of prep, caulk, & painters, providing guidance, training, and support.
- Paint Process Oversight: Oversee the entire painting process, ensuring adherence to standards and industry best practices.
- Quality Control: Inspect painted vehicles for quality, addressing imperfections promptly.
- Color Matching: Use techniques and equipment to achieve accurate color matches.
- Paint Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and oversee paint booths, spray guns, compressors, and other equipment.
- Inventory Management: Manage paint and supply inventory, minimizing waste and costs.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and practices, ensuring a safe working environment.
- People Development: Train team members and develop backup personnel.
- Communication: Collaborate with other departments for workflow and communication.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve painting processes and techniques.
- Documentation: Maintain records of paint formulas, color codes, and other relevant data.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in automotive or industrial painting.
- Demonstrated leadership and team motivation skills.
- Proficiency in auto body work, painting techniques, and application methods.
- Keen attention to detail and ability to identify imperfections.
- Strong troubleshooting and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication skills.
