Job summary

TOPPAN Packaging Americas in Huntley, IL is seeking an Inspector Packer I for the 2nd Shift (3:15 PM – 1:45 AM). The role focuses on inspecting and packaging thermoformed product to meet customer quality standards while maintaining a smooth production flow.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Responsibilities include removing finished sheets, visually inspecting for defects, assembling cartons, counting parts, and maintaining a clean, safe

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required; manufacturing literacy and numeracy valued.
• 6 months production‑line experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand specification sheets.

Responsibilities

• Remove completed thermoformed sheets from machines.
• Visually inspect sheets for defects.
• Remove and segregate non-conforming product per inspection plans.
• Report non-conforming parts to the operator.
• Assemble cardboard cartons and stack parts per job specs.
• Load parts into cartons and seal them.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Read and follow specification sheets and participate in continuous improvement.
