Job summary

Pennsylvania Ag Connection in Hanover, PA is hiring a Packer for the 2nd shift (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Mon-Fri). Starting pay: $18.60/hour plus $1.00 shift differential.

You will ensure finished goods are accurately packaged, safely handled, and meet quality standards while supporting production flow in a food manufacturing setting. Responsibilities include packaging preparation, visual inspections, labeling, and minor equipment operation.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work safely in a manufacturing environment following safety and food safety requirements.
• Strong attention to detail to identify product and packaging defects.
• Ability to follow written instructions, packaging specifications, and procedures.
• Ability to perform repetitive work while maintaining quality.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and perform manual labor.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and 25 pounds continuously.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cartons, trays, and displays for packaging by folding, taping, labeling, and staging materials.
• Verify tape guns and equipment have supplies and function properly.
• Perform visual inspections of finished product packaging for dates, seals, and integrity.
• Remove out-of-spec products and communicate concerns to Operators or Supervisors.
• Pack products per specifications and ensure correct labels.
• Seal, tape, and prepare cartons for shipment.
• Stack cartons on pallets using approved patterns.
• Operate pallet jacks to move finished goods as needed.
• Maintain clean work area and follow GMPs and 5S.
• Follow Lockout/Tagout procedures during cleaning and sanitation.
