Job summary

Winland Foods is seeking a Certified Packaging Team Member for the 2nd shift at 1 Quality Place, Buckner, KY. You will operate, monitor, and maintain packaging equipment to ensure safe, high-quality packaging in a team-oriented environment.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 2:00pm–10:30pm. Responsibilities include equipment changeovers, QA checks, and collaboration with a safety- and quality-focused team to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of work experience, preferably in manufacturing or food production.
• Forklift certification preferred (required for Advanced Level); willingness to obtain certification if not already held.

Responsibilities

• Operate basic packaging machinery (depalletizers, palletizers, conveyors, fillers, case packers, box machines, unscramblers).
• Complete equipment changeovers and address issues quickly.
• Use SAP, IQS, MII, and Weaver to keep Packaging flowing.
• Perform routine operation checks and daily inspections, preventive maintenance, and changeovers.
• Inspect products for correct labeling, alignment, and packaging; follow FIFO inventory methods and record shipments in SAP.
• Follow GMP, HACCP, SQF, FSMA, and company food safety policies.
• Assist team members, provide training, and support multiple initiatives with minimal supervision.
