Job summary

Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD) in Hunt Valley, MD is hiring a packaging technician to weigh, fill, label and inspect materials in a GMP environment. You will set up equipment, maintain records, and communicate status across shifts to ensure on-time production.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, willingness to work 2nd shift (4pm–2am, Mon–Thu) and overtime as needed. BD emphasizes safety, housekeeping, and adherence to SOPs daily.

Qualifications

• Must follow GMP procedures and quality systems.
• Must be able to perform packaging, weighing and labeling tasks.
• Good communication within manufacturing team and shifts.
• Overtime may be required to meet BD business needs.

Responsibilities

• Package materials per SMP/SOP and document process.
• Fill, assemble, label, and inspect products under supervision.
• Move required materials using handling equipment.
• Set up, operate and clean production equipment including scales and filling lines.
• Maintain accurate production records and batch history.
• Identify the need for minor equipment repairs.
• Follow all GMP, safety and housekeeping policies.
