Job summary

Software Placement Group (SPG) is seeking a Packaging Production Supervisor to lead a 2nd shift production team at an established food/pharma-related manufacturing facility in McDonough, GA. The role focuses on safety, efficiency, and morale on the production floor while meeting output and quality goals.

You will oversee staffing, train staff on SOPs and GMPs, and ensure equipment is well-maintained in a high-demand environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in food, beverage or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Strong lean manufacturing background.

Responsibilities

• Provide team leadership to production employees, overseeing staffing levels and morale.
• Organize and lead employee training to ensure staff are qualified on all production operations, safety procedures, SOPs, and GMPs.
• Resolve conflicts and manage disciplinary actions as needed.
• Coordinate with Maintenance to keep equipment fully operational and efficient.
• Maintain targeted production efficiency for lines and contribute to plant efficiency.
• Foster open communication between employees and support departments.
• Coach the production team to set performance measures and achieve results.
• Hold regular meetings with team leaders to recognize successes and resolve issues.
• Analyze production reports to identify adverse trends and develop corrective actions.
