Job summary

Asahi Beer USA, with Octopi Brewing support, seeks a Packaging Shift Lead to supervise a team on the bottle filler, canning line, and kegger. You will direct CIP activities, manage staffing, and ensure compliance with SOPs and GMP guidelines to maintain safe and efficient production.

Responsibilities include scheduling, training coordination, maintaining shift reports, and coordinating with maintenance and management.

Qualifications

• Scheduling weekly shift staffing and managing vacation coverage.
• Coordinating Master Training Matrix to keep staff trained efficiently.
• Creating and reviewing daily/shift reports for packaging.
• Communicating maintenance needs and submitting work orders.
• Compiling run data into Excel and delivering packaging run sheets.

Responsibilities

• Create weekly shift staffing schedule based on vacation schedule.
• Approve/deny PTO and ensure correct packaging materials are used.
• Maintain up-to-date BBT snapshots for smooth information transfer.
• Develop and update SOPs for training matrix tasks.
• Produce shift reports daily for the Packaging Manager.
• Coordinate with maintenance to address issues and submit work orders.
• Compile production data and QA/QC sheet for management review.
• Supervise a team of 7-10 on the shift and drive downtime reduction.
