Kloeckner Metals Corporation is seeking an Overhead Crane Operator-Loader for the 2nd shift. The role involves safe crane and forklift operation, handling materials for shipping and receiving, and ensuring paperwork accuracy. The position reports to the Operations Manager.

2nd shift hours are 2:30 p.m. – 12:00 a.m., with overtime as needed. Candidates must have crane experience, a valid crane certification, and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of overhead crane operation in industrial or distribution settings.
• Valid overhead crane certification required.
• High School diploma or GED, or 1–3 months of related training/experience.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations regarding load weight.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and procedures.
• Reliable with a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to learn and train others.
• Ability to pass a physical examination (vision, hearing, mobility).
• Reliable work history.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on precision and quality.

Responsibilities

• Crane and forklift operation: Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Product knowledge: Understand products, color coding, customer specs; read measuring devices.
• Shipping and receiving: Unload inbound stock, load outbound shipments, complete paperwork.
• Loading procedures: Safely load trucks with proper chaining and tarping.
• Additional duties: Perform other tasks to support warehouse operations.
